I dottori da cui la giovane ragazza veneziana è in cura, ad aprile le avevano detto che rischiava di non farcela. Ora è sul gradino più alto di un podio tanto bramato e ambito dagli sportivi. La presidente della commissione europea Ursula von der Leyen l’ha voluta ospitare in parlamento per ringraziarla di persona per il suo coraggio e la sua dedizione. Applausi e lunghe standing ovation per lei.
“È una leader, immagine della sua generazione, da cui trarre ispirazione per la sua determinazione”, commenta la presidente. “Mi sono innamorata di lei quest’estate, rappresenta l’anima e i valori dell’Unione europea”, aggiunge.
Beatrice ha confessato di essersi molto emozionata durante la cerimonia, e di essere profondamente grata della bellissima considerazione che la Von der Leyen ha dimostrato di avere nei suoi confronti.
