12 Aprile 2021: per il terzo incontro del ciclo di webinar, il liceo Quinto Orazio Flacco organizza un incontro virtuale con Paolo Giulierini, etruscologo e direttore del Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli.
L’incontro virtuale, svoltosi in data 12 Aprile, si è aperto con un’introduzione della preside del liceo Quinto Orazio Flacco di Portici, Iolanda GIovidelli. “Questo è il terzo incontro del ciclo di webinar che abbiamo organizzato noi del liceo “Quinto Orazio Flacco”: abbiamo l’onore, quindi di avere un ospite illustre, il dottor Giulierini, che è già stato con noi durante la Notte Nazionale dei Licei Classici e veramente fu bellissimo.” – così la dirigente dell’istituto presenta l’incontro. Una presentazione più specifica spetta al professore di storia e filosofia, Giuseppe Coppola. “Il dottor Giulierini, direttore del Museo Archeologico di Napoli (MANN) è nostro emerito ospite, direttore dal 2015, ricordo, al secondo mandato, foriero di tantissime grandi novità nel nostro panorama museale. È arrivato subito con tantissime innovazioni dal punto di vista della visibilità del museo, dal punto di vista anche dell’innovazione tecnologica.” “L’importante è riuscire a valorizzare quello che al museo c’è e che spesso riposa nei sotterranei; quindi, ogni tanto c’è bisogno di rinverdire le condizioni e di proporre nuove sfide anche ai visitatori.” – aggiunge il professore. L’intervento si chiude, poi, con la presentazione di alcuni progetti svolti dalla scuola in collaborazione con il museo al fine di coniugare ciò che appartiene all’antico con le moderne innovazioni tecnologiche.
Il dottor Giulierini apre il suo discorso con una breve digressione sulle condizioni della cultura in questo periodo di pandemia. Procede, poi, ad elencare alcuni degli investimenti futuri su cui verterà l’organizzazione del museo nei prossimi anni: “Naturalmente non potremo non ripartire da una rapidissima carrellata di quello che è stato fatto, perché, proprio come il titolo dell’intervento al quale mi avete invitato propone “Remoto presente”, bisogna sempre partire dal passato per poter riannodare i fili con il futuro. Tuttavia, voglio subito dire che soprattutto l’aspetto tecnologico, lo vedremo, sarà uno degli aspetti sul quale il museo sta investendo e investirà.” Riflettendo sulla fondamentale importanza della tecnologia fin dai tempi più antichi, il dottor Giulierini spiega che soltanto di recente, circa nel 1800, si è iniziata a distinguere tale materia e, dunque, sono stati creati musei di tecnologia e musei di arte. “Il nostro tentativo è, quest’anno, per esempio, di riaprire una sezione tecnologica pompeiana dove si dirà molto, perché poi ne parleremo, di quanto gli antichi fossero attenti alla tecnologia.” Il direttore conclude, dunque, così il suo intervento – “Questo è il nuovo museo, che vuole, diciamo così, innanzitutto ripristinare la tecnologia, ma vuole anche essere compreso ed essere un attore sociale nel proprio quartiere, nel proprio territorio, vuole uscire dalle porte”
