Incontro tra pedagogisti, docenti e ragazzi: dal confronto alla produzione di un testo su un modello inclusivo per gli allievi.
Sabato sei maggio al salone del libro a Pietrarsa la dirigente scolastica del liceo Quinto Orazio Flacco, Iolanda Giovidelli, introduce un’importante iniziativa: la tavola rotonda, una discussione tra gli studenti presenti, affinché possano esprimere idee e opinioni sull’organizzazione scolastica.
“I ragazzi non vengono ascoltati” dichiara la preside“e dunque questo evento è stato organizzato appositamente per dar loro voce. Personalmente mi batto per questi giovani, che gli adulti ignorano ma che in realtà hanno tanto da dire”.
Dopo aver assistito al video spot della manifestazione “libri in viaggio”, un ulteriore benvenuto agli alunni presenti è dato dal direttore Orvitti del museo di Pietrarsa, che entusiasta si congratula per questo progetto.
Prendono parte alla tavola rotonda anche Annamaria Romagnolo, Simona Favari, Cesare Moreno e il professore Mantegazza, che presenta il suo libro che “ha due autori, di cui uno sono i ragazzi”.
È un libro che propugna il senso del limite nell’uso dell’autorità, per “far crescere gli altri e non comandarli”.
L’autore illustra come un professore dovrebbe comportarsi nei confronti dei suoi studenti, i quali non devono mai esser mortificati o umiliati sul piano personale.
Intervengono i ragazzi che, con le loro testimonianze, espongono le loro opinioni relative al rapporto insegnanti – studenti:
“Un buon professore deve avere la capacità di far appassionare i suoi alunni, aver voglia di insegnare e far bene il suo lavoro”, “per me invece, l’insegnante ideale deve essere tollerante, dunque non un despota ma neanche un amico”.
Alla domanda: “qual è il cambiamento più urgente da apportare alla scuola?” una giovane risponde che è necessario ristrutturare gli edifici scolastici e creare nuove attività sul modello americano, promuovere lo sport, che oltre ad essere ottimo per la salute, incentiva i legami tra i giovani.
In seguito, i professori Genovese e Bottega del Quinto Orazio Flacco intervengono parlando dell’importanza dell’esperienza che hanno vissuto durante il progetto che ha portato alla scrittura del libro, di cui i protagonisti sono proprio i ragazzi.
Successivamente interviene la preside piacentina Simona Favari, che condivide con la collega Giovidelli una visione comune sulla scuola e l’istruzione.
Ancora, Anna Maria Romagnolo si focalizza sulla definizione di bene comune, poiché, a suo avviso, “la scuola è un bene comune, che non può essere esclusivo ma di ciascuno di noi”. Dichiara che il docente deve infatti essere un “ponte” che fa nascere passioni e scoprire talenti. Anche Cesare Moreno, il protagonista dell’esperienza dei maestri di strada, concorda con le precedenti dichiarazioni, secondo le quali è necessario il dialogo come elemento di reciprocità.
Egli continua dicendo che ci dovrebbero essere attività per creare un senso di comunità nella scuola, per esempio uno spazio per “perdere tempo”, dunque un luogo di relax e rifornimento emozionale.
L’evento si conclude con calorosi applausi e saluti da parte degli studenti , soddisfatti di aver preso parte a tale iniziativa, tramite la quale hanno avuto l’occasione di esprimere i loro disagi ma anche di trovare punti d’incontro discutendo con i docenti presenti.
