Oggi, giovedì 4 maggio, il sindaco di Portici Enzo Cuomo ha aperto con il taglio del nastro la seconda edizione del Salone del libro al Museo Nazionale ferroviario di Pietrarsa. Il tema attorno a cui verte la manifestazione è quello del viaggio, non soltanto personale, ma attraverso la letteratura e le parole di alcune delle personalità più eminenti del panorama culturale nazionale.
La cerimonia di apertura è stata caratterizzata di molteplici interventi, tra cui quello a distanza del ministro dell’istruzione Valditara, il quale ha redatto una lettera invitando i ragazzi a divenire scrittori della loro storia e protagonisti effettivi della Letteratura. Numerosi poi, i riferimenti culturali ad alcuni dei più importanti intellettuali della storia, da Umberto Eco a Pasolini, per concludere con la citazione del racconto di Borges “La Biblioteca di Babele”, a cura della Preside Iolanda Giovidelli. Presentata al pubblico come la responsabile della manifestazione, la dirigente del Liceo statale Quinto Orazio Flacco di Portici ha ringraziato i presenti e riassunto i punti principali di questa edizione, soffermandosi sul ruolo dello studio e della letteratura nella vita dei ragazzi. Durante il discorso sono poi intervenuti anche il direttore del Museo Oreste Orvitti e l’assessore regionale con delega al turismo Felice Casucci.
L’evento, della durata di tre giorni, vedrà presentati stand di case editrici locali e nazionali, nonché incontri con alcuni degli scrittori contemporanei più in vista e progetti laboratoriali dei ragazzi del territorio.
