L’istituto “Quinto Orazio Flacco” di Portici apre con piacere le porte a quattro ispettori francesi che dal 10 al 14
febbraio hanno osservato le modalità operative e organizzative della scuola, e partecipato ad alcune lezioni in
modo da raccogliere suggerimenti e spunti da trasferire ai docenti francesi. Ognuno dei quattro ispettori si occupa di in una materia in particolare tra inglese, matematica, francese e scienze biologiche. La redazione di Comete è riuscita ad intervistarli, utilizzando come lingua veicolare l’inglese.
“Qual è il vostro compito in qualità di ispettori?”
- Siamo venuti in questo istituto sia per conoscere il sistema di valutazione italiano e il modo in cui le scuole del territorio si interfacciano con la tecnologia sia per approfondire il tema dell’inclusione, che in Francia rappresenta uno dei maggiori problemi da risolvere.
“Come è messo in atto in Francia il tema dell’inclusione?”
- In termini di inclusione negli ultimi anni in Francia è stato fatto molto, ma si è ancora lontani dai risultati raggiunti in Italia – ha ribadito uno dei quattro ispettori. Dal 2004, infatti, in Francia è stata emanata una legge secondo la quale ogni studente deve essere accettato nella classe. Tuttavia, l’inclusione è stata implementata solamente negli ultimi anni poiché bisognava sia formare i professori sia rassicurare i genitori in merito alla questione.
Un altro obbiettivo che ci siamo posti – ha continuato l’ispettore – è il miglioramento dell’apprendimento per gli
studenti con disabilità. A questo proposito abbiamo ideato delle classi speciali, che chiamiamo CLIS.
“Quali sono le principali differenze tra le scuole italiane e le scuole francesi?”
A questa domanda uno dei quattro ispettori ha risposto che le differenze non sono poi così numerose.
Se in Italia gli studenti non si spostano dalla classe loro assegnata, in Francia invece si cambia aula continuamente per seguire le varie lezioni. Gli studenti italiani vengono valutati su una scala da 0 a 10, mentre gli studenti francesi su una scala da 0 a 20. In Francia, inoltre, molti college hanno abolito i numeri come strumento di valutazione e sono stati sostituiti dai colori. Se all’alunno è assegnato il colore verde il risultato è positivo, se rosso è negativo, se giallo è mediocre. In Italia gli studenti scelgono l’indirizzo dell’istituto superiore di secondo grado all’età di 14 anni ed eventualmente possono cambiarlo, mentre in Francia si aspettano i 17 anni e non si può
assolutamente modificare.
“Qual è il vostro ruolo nella preparazione dell’esame di Stato?”
“Spesso siamo noi a decidere la traccia dell’esame di stato. Verifichiamo, inoltre, che tutti gli studenti siano
valutati correttamente e senza distinzioni.”

The Institute Quinto Orazio Flacco of Portici opens with pleasure the doors to four French inspectors
who from 10 to 14 February will observe the operating and organizational methods of the school. They
will participate in some lessons in order to collect suggestions and ideas to be transferred to French
teachers. Each of the four inspectors deals with a subject in particular between English, mathematics,
French and biological sciences. The editorial staff of Comete was able to interview them, using English
as a vehicular language.
“What is your job as an inspector?”
We came to this institute both to know the Italian evaluation system and the way in which the schools of
the territory interface with technology and to deepen the theme of inclusion, which in France is one of the
biggest problems to be solved.
“How is the theme of inclusion implemented in France?”
In terms of inclusion in recent years in France a lot has been done, but it is still far from the results
achieved in Italy – it has restated one of the four inspectors.
Since 2004, in fact, a law has been enacted in France according to which every student must be
accepted into the class. However, inclusion has only been fully implemented in recent years as both
teacher training and reassuring parents about the issue were needed.
Another goal we set ourselves – continued the inspector – is the improvement of learning for students
with disabilities. In this regard we have devised special classes, which we call CLIS.
“What are the main differences between Italian and French schools?”
To this question one of the four inspectors replied that the differences were not so great.
If in Italy students do not move from their assigned class, in France instead they change classroom
continuously to follow the various lessons. Italian students are evaluated on a scale from 0 to 10, while
French students on a scale from 0 to 20. In France, moreover, many colleges have abolished numbers
as an evaluation tool and have been replaced by colors. If the student is awarded the green color the
result is positive, if red is negative, if yellow is mediocre. In Italy, students choose the address of the
secondary school at the age of 14 and can possibly change it, while in France they expect the 17 years
and can not change.
“What is your role in the preparation of the state exam?”
“Often we decide the track of the state exam. We also check that all students are evaluated correctly
and without distinction.”
