L’Università degli studi di Napoli “Federico II” potrebbe diventare il primo ateneo in Italia a sposare il progetto lanciato in casa Microsoft ed Hevolus Innovation, intitolato “Hybrid Learning Spaces”. La pandemia di Coronavirus ha decisamente evidenziato tutte le falle del nostro sistema di apprendimento, e l’arretratezza dei dispositivi e del progresso digitale. Proprio in queste settimane si parlava del progetto, tanto ambizioso quanto inquietante, del “Metaverso” di Facebook, e della creazione di avatar digitali che potenziassero all’estrema potenza l’esperienza sui social media. L’Hybrid Learning Spaces sarebbe un metodo alternativo per proporre un nuovo e rivoluzionario tipo di apprendimento, dove immersive aule virtuali sarebbero popolate da studenti in remoto che compiono lezioni e laboratori olografici. La missione del CEO Microsoft Satya Nadella sarebbe quella di accelerare la fusione tra mondo fisico e digitale, così da raggiungere nuovi ed inaccessibili obiettivi. Il responsabile della Divisione Sistemi dell’Unina ha però chiarito che il progetto “sarà in fase di sperimentazione per alcuni corsi”. È dunque lecito pensare che questo modo alternativo per fare lezione potrebbe essere implementato in maniera decisa solo dopo un lungo periodo di sperimentazione. Il sistema non dovrebbe puntare a sostituire le lezioni in presenza, bensì a proporre un’aggiuntiva modalità. Non è ancora chiaro come la società di Bill Gates abbia intenzione di espandere la sperimentazione, che potrebbe dunque arrivare in altre università italiane. La cosa che ormai appare palese è che questo decennio rappresenterà una vera e propria chiave di volta per il mondo High-tech, trasformando i sogni, o gli incubi, di molte persone in realtà.
