Il ministro della Cultura Dario Franceschini ha ufficialmente firmato il decreto volto all’istituzione della “Commissione per la classificazione delle opere cinematografiche”, gestita dalla “Direzione Generale Cinema” del Ministero della Cultura.
“Abolita la censura cinematografica, definitivamente superato quel sistema di controlli e interventi che consentiva ancora allo Stato di intervenire sulla libertà degli artisti”, afferma il ministro.
“Un intervento ai sensi della Legge Cinema che introduce il sistema di classificazione e supera definitivamente la possibilità di censurare le opere cinematografiche. Non è più previsto il divieto assoluto di uscita in sala né di uscita condizionata a tagli o modifiche”.
Sarà Alessandro Pajno, presidente emerito del Consiglio di Stato, a presidiare questa commissione: essa sarà composta da quarantanove componenti esperti, e supervisionata da pedagoghi ed educatori attivi in seno alla tutela dei minori e della comunicazione sociale.
Sul sito web www.cinecensura.com, la Direzione Generale Cinema del Ministero della Cultura ha raccolto una mostra che contiene 300 lungometraggi, 80 cinegiornali, 100 pubblicità e cortometraggi, 28 manifesti e filmati censurati o tagliati.
